Martin Keely, former senior vice president of Battle.net and technology services at Blizzard, has joined Epic Games.

After a seven year-long tenure at Blizzard, Keely announced his new role as VP/GM of Epic Games Store and Epic Online Services via LinkedIn.

"I'm excited to get started with the team delivering new capabilities that elevate player, creator and developer experiences," Keely wrote. "And I'm truly grateful for the opportunity to play a role in shaping an open and sustainable gaming ecosystem."

Regarding his previous experience at Blizzard, the former SVP says that he "learned something new every day" from collaborating with global groups, and remains proud of the team work to "achieve growth and record results" as a platform.

This is far from the only big move within Epic Games of the month. A mere two weeks ago, Steve Allison, former Epic Games vice president, joined Saber Interactive as chief business officer.

The move is relevant here, as Allison founded and led the store organization as vice president and general manager, working on the Epic Games Store as well as Epic Games Publishing, the company's third-party publishing effort.

The leadership changes come a few months after Epic cut 1,000 jobs across the company.
