AWS Builder Center 現在提供免費、限時的沙盒環境供工作坊使用，讓開發人員不再需要使用自己的 AWS 帳戶和信用卡，或擔心意外費用。這是社群長期以來的訴求，並且消除了實務工作者學習新 AWS 技術最大的摩擦點之一。

根據公告，每個沙盒提供 8 小時的預先配置存取權限，且可在 15 分鐘內準備就緒，逾期後會自動清理。開發人員最初每週只能建立一個沙盒，且此選項目前僅適用於部分工作坊。

透過沙盒環境可存取的工作坊為逐步引導實驗室，涵蓋建置無伺服器 API、設定 VPC、部署容器，以及使用 AI 服務等主題。AWS 高級經理 Rick Suttles說明：

Sandbox environments are a new addition to AWS Builder Center that lets you request a free, time-limited AWS account and start building right away. Whether you want to try a workshop without creating a personal account or just want to experiment without worrying about unexpected charges, sandboxes give you a clean environment to work in.

此新選項擴充了雲端供應商目前提供的無成本、無需帳戶學習路徑，每種路徑適用於不同使用情境：Builder Center Sandbox 適合在幾小時內嘗試 AWS 而不保存任何內容，而改版的Free Tier則提供開發人員實際帳戶、200 美元額度，以及 6 個月自動關閉功能，適合用於副專案。ADP 的 SRE 與 DevOps 工程師 Sumit Tiwari評論：

One thing that often stops people from learning AWS is not the technology itself. It's the fear of accidentally spending money, setting things up incorrectly, or forgetting to clean up resources.

目前支援的沙盒環境工作坊中，有許多與生成式 AI 及代理式 AI 工作流程相關，包括「Claude Code on Amazon Bedrock」、「AI-DLC Workshop」以及「Storytelling based AI-powered insights and automation using Amazon Quick」。Deloitte 的雲端架構師 Sarvar Nadaf 在解釋「為何這比你想像的更重要」時寫道：

I've onboarded probably 40+ engineers to AWS across different client engagements. The pattern repeats every single time. Day one of training, someone raises their hand: "What happens if I accidentally leave something running?" That question comes from fear. And fear makes people skip hands-on practice entirely. They read docs. Watch videos. Never deploy a thing.

這個期待已久的特性獲得了社群的正面反應，社群希望此功能能進一步擴展。不過，AWS 是最後一家推出此功能的主要超大規模雲端供應商。Microsoft 已透過 Microsoft Learn 提供多年無需註冊的 Azure 沙盒，Google Cloud 也透過Qwiklabs/Google Cloud Skills Boost提供類似的臨時環境。根據 InfoQ 的報導，Cloudflare 近期推出的「Temporary Accounts」則針對不同使用情境，AI 編碼代理無需註冊，並提供 60 分鐘的人工認領窗口。

沙盒目前僅限於特定工作坊，隨著 AWS 逐步推出支援，涵蓋範圍將會更廣。
